Personal Protective Equipment <br />4.0 EMPLOYEE TRAINING PROGRAM <br />New and transferred employees are required to attend an initial <br />mandatory training session prior to starting work at the Site. <br />Refresher training sessions are provided on an annual basis. <br />Employee training is performed in-house at the Site and training <br />documentation is kept in the employee files at the main office. <br />The training sessions include information and discussions on the <br />following topics: <br />ANIL • general safety <br />• safety communications <br />• lifting procedures <br />• handling and use of tools and machines <br />• safe work practices for compressed gas cylinders <br />• safe work practices for welding, cutting, and bracing <br />• safe work practices for flammable and combustible materials <br />• safe work practices for acid, bases, and oxidizers <br />• safe storage and handling <br />• chemical properties and material safety data sheets <br />• handling and application of pesticides <br />• emergency procedures and emergency response plan <br />• spill cleanup and waste disposal <br />• in-house and outside notification procedures <br />emergency equipment <br />Copies of the training manual are available at the office. <br />11 <br />
