Proper maintenance. <br />12 PAINT AND PAINTING <br />A. Containers of paint, varnish, lacquer or other volatile <br />painting materials shall be kept tightly closedwhen <br />not in actual use and stored in accordance with the <br />National Fire Codes. <br />B. Paint materials in quantities other than required for <br />daily use may be stored in a flammable materials <br />storage cabinet, or outside the building in_a well <br />ventilated location. <br />C. No smoking or open flames, exposed heatinge'lem-ents <br />other sources of ignition -of any kind are to be <br />permitted in areas of rooms where -spray pai-nting is <br />do,,te. <br />D. Ventilation adequate to prevent the accumulation of <br />flammable or hazardous vapors shall be provided. <br />13 BURNING OPERATIONS <br />A. During operations, such as during cleaning or <br />demolition, -a sufficient force of people and adequate <br />fire fighting equipment shall be maintained. <br />B. Burning will be.prohibited during periods of high fire <br />danger. <br />14 WELDING AND CUTTING <br />Particular care must be taken when welding or cutting. <br />Welding areas will be set up for work that can be done away <br />from building area.
