Professional Certification of Accuracy (Section 7.0), <br />and Recordkeeping (Section 8.0) comprise the remaining sections of this <br />document. <br />1.2 SETTING <br />1.2.1 LOCATION <br />The Forward Landfill is located at 9999 South Austin Road in Manteca, California <br />at approximately Latitude 37°52' 94" and Longitude 121°52' 59". The site is <br />located in Section 3 of Township 1 S, Range 7E, Mount Diablo Baseline and <br />Meridian (MDB&M) and Section 34 of Township 1 N;*ange 7fE MDB&M. The <br />Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APN) for the site are 181-150-07, 181-150-08, 181- <br />150-09, 181-150-10, 201-060-01, 201-060-02, 201-060-03, and 201-060-05. A <br />site vicinity map- is depicted on Drawing 1 of the JTD. <br />1.2.2 FACILITY OVERVIEW <br />Forward isp roposing to combine the existing Forward and Austin Road Landfills <br />into a single disposal facility and create one unified facility with a single set of <br />permits. The combined facility will be named Forward Landfill and is referred to <br />as such in this document. <br />The entire Forward Landfill site area is 567 acres. Approximately 144 acres of <br />this area comprises the total existing Forward Landfill and 244 acres comprises <br />the total Austin Road Landfill including future expansion areas. The various <br />portions of the site area are summarized on Table 1 and shown on Figure 9 of <br />the JTD. <br />The landfill disposal area incorporates both existing and future waste <br />management units. The existing Forward Landfill acreage includes an 8 -acre <br />hazardous waste cell known as Waste Management Unit (WMU) A. WMU A <br />was closed in 1989 and is currently complying with post -closure monitoring <br />requirements. The south slope of the two -acre ash pit has also been closed and <br />has received final cover.
