The RRF also implements an emergency response training program as part of their
Contingency Plan (Appendix D). All site employees are trained in (1) emergency
alarm and notification, (2) external emergency response organization notification,
and (3) location and content of the emergency response plan. Employees receive
a copy of the emergency response plan at hire.
The load checking program is explained in detail to all site personnel who are
involved with the inspection of waste, including the gate attendant, load
inspectors, RRF workers, and equipment operators. These employees will also
attend the"Basic Hazardous Waste Awareness Course" given by the San Joaquin
County Office of Emergency Services. The course emphasizes familiarity with the
types of containers and labels typically used for hazardous waste and other
materials. The course is repeated every six months. All new employees are
enrolled in the course at the earliest available class after their hire.
Specific emergency response and evacuation procedures for all Forward
employees and members of the emergency response team are covered in the
training sessions conducted at the site throughout the year.
A record of personnel training is maintained either at the RRF or landfill
administration office for future reference during facility inspections.
3.1.1.2 EMERGENCY CONTACT
In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17410.2, the following emergency contact
list will be provided to the LEA and local fire authority in the event of an
emergency situation.
The location, mailing address, and pertinent telephone numbers of the RRF, landfill
and the company office are listed below.
Resource Recovery Facility:
Forward Inc.
