checking for, and repairing, oil and fuel leaks. Portable fire extinguishers are <br /> provided on all heavy equipment vehicles, in both office trailers, in the equipment <br /> maintenance building at the landfill, and an on board fire suppression system is <br /> provided on front line equipment. Personnel are trained to perform fire <br /> suppression activities using appropriate site equipment, stockpiled soil cover, and <br /> water. Water storage facilities consist of the primary 1,000-gpm on site production <br /> well located adjacent to the landfill entrance and a 20-gpm on site production well <br /> located by the RRF. In addition, a 12,000-gallon water tank is located near the <br /> wood pile at the RRF. <br /> In addition to measures taken at the facility to ensure an adequate landfill <br /> perimeter clearance, the site is traversed by the South Fork which creates a natural <br /> fire break. <br /> 3.3.7 LIGHTING <br /> In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17416.2, lighting is available at the RRF for <br /> operations. PG&E provides the primary electric service to the site. Electric power <br /> is provided to the office trailers and on site pumping facilities. There is also <br /> night/security lighting at the landfill and RRF entrances and on the RRF building. <br /> The landfill has a portable trailer-mounted generator, in case of an emergency or <br /> night lighting. In addition, the landfill uses portable lights for operations after dark <br /> (i.e. in the winter) which could also be utilized for other activities. <br /> 3.3.8 WATER SUPPLY <br /> In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17419.2, potable water is available for <br /> station personnel at the RRF. Bottled water is provided for drinking. Water for <br /> site operations is supplied by two on site production wells: a 1,000-gpm well near <br /> the landfill entrance facilities and a 20-gpm well near the RRF building. The RRF <br /> has a 12,000-gallon water tank located near the wood pile. Water uses include <br /> site grading and material processing, dust control, equipment maintenance <br /> operations, sanitary facilities, fire fighting, and emergency situations. <br /> 3.3.9 SANITARY FACILITIES <br /> In accordance with 14 CCR, Section 17409.2, sanitary facilities are available for <br /> beth-station personnel afid the pu at the RRF.
