Sheared soil had <br /> Internal in the GCL and the soil fallen over the rear of the bottom <br /> box. GCL had sheared <br /> internally. <br /> RESULTS <br /> The normal stresses were graphed against the shear stresses and linear regression was applied to obtain <br /> the best fit straight line. The y-intercept describes the adhesion value of the interface, and the arctan of <br /> the slope of the line provides the friction angle. The results are provided in the following tables and <br /> graphs.
