ACW disposal area. <br /> All Forward employees involved in the handling and disposal of ACW are <br /> equipped with a reusable half-face air-purifying respirator, goggles, hardhats, <br /> gloves, and disposable protective coveralls. Site personnel are trained in the <br /> proper use of protective gear and are fit tested for the respirator by the respirator's <br /> manufacturer or a certified representative. The employees receive initial and <br /> annual medical examinations to comply with OSHA Standards for possible <br /> exposure to asbestos and to determine their capability to perform required duties <br /> and wear a respirator. They also receive annual training by Cal Inc. For each job <br /> related to ACW management, the job title, name of person filling that job, <br /> description of the job, and description of the type and amount of training relative <br /> to ACW management required for that job, are summarized below. In addition <br /> to the job-specific training presented for each job below, each person filling any <br /> of these jobs receives training in the Contingency Plan. Records documenting <br /> the training are attached <br /> job Title: Operations Manager <br /> Aft <br /> Name of Person Filling job: Position Vacant (being filled) <br /> job Description: The Operations Manager is responsible for overall day-to-day <br /> operation of Forward Landfill. With regard to ACW management, the <br /> Operations Manager is responsible for implementing all company plans and <br /> procedures for proper ACW management. The Operations Manager supervises <br /> and directs all other site personnel in performing their individual duties and <br /> fulfilling their individual responsibilities under the plans and procedures. The <br /> Operations Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all other site personnel <br /> receive the required training in ACW management. <br /> Training: The Operations Manager's training in ACW management consists of <br /> regular updates on revisions to regulatory requirements and participation in <br /> reviews of internal procedures and policies. The updates come from industry <br /> organizations (e.g., CRRC), lobbyists retained by Forward to monitor regulatory <br /> activities, technical consultants, and in-house technical staff.
