Landfill permit plus six days at 6,680 tens/day for the existing FeFwaFd Landfill
4.3.2 TRAFFIC LIMITATIONS
permed traffic= tethe-s+te—Forward will maintain records of incoming loads and
vehicle counts and will limit deliveries of wastes for disposal and other materials
for beneficial reuse to a total of 620 trips/day and to the maximum inflow rates
described above. It should be noted that delivery of waste and other materials
varies on a daily basis. Therefore, on days when less waste is received the site can
accept more loads of the beneficial reuse materials. The existing FE)r•• aFd La
Read Landfall has ne permitted limit but typiEally has 185 ene way vehiele tFiPS.
4.4 WASTE INFLOW RATES
For the purpose of estimating remaining site life, Tthe eted estimated annual
inflow rate to the ed-Forward Landfill over the next five years is estimated
to be approximately 1,728,-864-_1,871,374 tons, which corresponds to a weekly
average inflow rate of approximately 33, 56,35,889 tons, seven days a week.
Actual quantities received may vary from these amounts. The diminishing landfill
capacity for the Forward Landfill is included on Table 8.
4.5 REFUSE TO COVER RATIO
The Forward Landfill remaining capacity and associated site life are dependent
on a number of factors. One of these factors is the refuse-to-cover ratio.
Depending on the type of cover material utilized the refuse-to-cover ratio can
vary. The Forward Landfill refuse-to-soil cover ratio is 4:1 (refuse to cover). This
ratio can be achieved with diligent adherence to established operational
procedures. However, Forward Inc. may also accept a number of other
materials which are used as alternative daily cover including, but not limited to,
construction and demolition waste treated auto shredder residue ash and
cement kiln dust, shredded tires, compost materials (off spec-delivered by
generator), processed green materials (PGM), and contaminated soils.
Forward Landfill JTD 4-10
J:\Allied\Forward\JTD Amendment\Final JTD Amendment\JTD Rev Sec 4 080105.doc:05/24/02
Amendment No. 1: 8/1/2005
