• Coordination of all field testing, sampling and laboratory testing. Review of all field and laboratory test results and preparation of recommendations for • rY p p appropriate responses. • Review of all CQA Monitor's daily reports and logs. • Notation of any on-site activities or conditions that could jeopardize the quality or function of the alternative final cover system and reporting of these to the Construction Manager. • Preparation of a monthly summary of CQA activities. • Designation of a Senior CQA Monitor to act on his behalf at the site while operations are ongoing. • Reporting of any unresolved deviations from the CQA Plan to the Construction Manager. • Preparation of the final "As-Built" report for all completed earthwork construction activities. 3.6 CQA MONITORS 3.6.1 FIELD ENGINEER/FIELD GEOLOGIST The Field Engineer/Field Geologist will be a representative of the Geotechnical CQA Consultant and will be responsible for evaluation of whether all earth and/or geosynthetic materials conform to the requirements of the Project Drawings and Specifications. Duties of the Field Engineer/Field Geologist will include the following: • Subgrade inspection. • Review of the adequacy of all clearing, grubbing, stripping and site preparation in areas to receive fill. Monitoring and evaluation of all material processing,mixing,blending and moisture conditioning operations. • Evaluation of the engineering characteristics of proposed on-site and/or imported cover materials. 3.6.2 TECHNICIANS Technicians will be representatives of the Geotechnical CQA Consultant and will continuously observe all excavation and grading operations to provide a basis for concluding that construction is carried out in conformance with the Project Drawings and Specifications.
