• Confirmation that the test results are in accordance with the Project Specifications (including retests of any previously failed area). 4.0 MEETINGS In order to facilitate construction, close coordination between the Project Director/Project Manager, Construction Manager, Engineer, Geotechnical CQA Consultant, Contractor(including appropriate Subcontractors) and Quality Assurance personnel is essential. To this end, the following meetings may be scheduled: 4.1 PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING A Pre-Construction Meeting will be held at the site. At a minimum, the meeting shall be attended by Allied Waste(or designated representative), the Construction Manager, the Engineer, the Geotechnical CQA Consultant, the Contractor and the CQA staff. Specific items to be considered at this meeting will include: • Any appropriate modifications to the CQA requirements. • Review of the responsibilities of each party. • Review of the lines of authority and communication. • Review of work area security and safety protocol. • Review of the procedures for project documentation and reporting, and distribution of documents and reports. • Review of Contractor's proposed methods of construction(including equipment), with specific emphasis on methods of select grading, trucking, stockpiling,processing, moisture conditioning and compaction. • Review of the procedures for field and laboratory CQA testing. • Establishment of procedures for correcting and documenting construction deficiencies. • Conducting a site inspection to discuss work areas, excavations, stockpile areas, mixing tables, processing areas, lay-down areas, access roads,haul roads, and related items. • Review of the project schedule.
