Soil with Tars 6:1 Clean and Contaminated Soil (including Intermediate 4:1 Cover Shredded Tires 12" thick 4.7:1 PGM 12" thick 4.7:1 Com ostable Material 12" thick 4.7:1 Treated Auto Shredder Residue (18" assumed - Title 3.1:1 27 requires an average compacted thickness less than 24" C&D (Inert) Material (12" assumed - Title 27 requires 4.7:1 an average compacted thickness less than 18" Ash and Cement Kiln Dust 12"thick 4.7:1 NOTE: Thickness shown above are consistent with Title 27, Section 20690 Predominately, Forward Inc. utilizes soil (both clean and contaminated), PGM and TASK. Volume calculations performed to estimate the above ratios for materials, other than soil, are included in Appendix C-1. Based on field testing of other ADC materials, it was determined that ash and cement kiln dust are believed to have similar properties to PGM, and that C&D material is believed to have properties similar to treated auto shredder residue. No field testing of the ash and cement kiln dust material was performed due to the small quantities received at this site. However, based on the refuse to cover ratios listed above, Forward Inc. will use an effective refuse-to-cover ratio of 4:1 for purposes of calculating the landfill's remaining capacity and site life. In addition, the remaining waste capacity and site life are reviewed annually by Forward Inc. and are required to be updated in accordance with 27 CCR, Section 21640, in conjunction with a review of the solid waste facilities permit every five years. 4.6 SITE CAPACITY As previously discussed, the disposal area footprint consists of approximately 387.8 acres. The total site capacity is based on the difference between the estimated subgrade excavation and the final disposal area contours.
