' Sampling And Analytical'Protocol
r
The following protocols have been developed to increase the accuracy and comparability of the
groundwater monitoring data. The purposes of establishing and following.the f0d protocols are
•(1) to reduce sources of error that can be introduced during samplg and, ) t® collect
in► a consistent manner so that data sets are•exam arable, nples
p Therefore project o
comparability .and ace goals for
orae, include following the procedures aescribed in
went.possn'bit. When field conditions necessitate a change from the this section to the
necessarychanges will be implemented with maintenance of
sampliestablished protocols, the
ng :accuracy and data, set
comparability as priorities. Any modification to the standard
procedures delineated•in this
Protocol necessitated by field conditions and the reasons-win be noted on the Technicians Daily
Report(See Section 2-7)..
Depth To Water Measurements
Depth to measurements will be made.in all'the wells at the sitei
ror to inititian
and sarnInn P g Pig
p g, including.wells than are not to be sampled .The measurements will be made four
times a Year prior to initiating each sampling round There are no i
depth to water m P ezomctem7at the site:- 3he
measurements will be made consecutively, iris short a time as possible,fo reduce.:
potential errors due to daily variations in the water table.
-to' ;et•. In wells with dedicated ptnmps, the water level
probe is inserted into the well through a special hole in the well cap. The conductivity probe and
cable-will be rinsed in deionized water before and after measuring the first well, and'after each
subsequent well.
