Sample Documentation and Custody <br /> Field notes will be recorded on daily field technician reports which ire filed in the project file.Tufo tion to be recorded will include at a minimum the project name, project number, date <br /> ple location,weather,and name of sampler. Other information which maybe <br /> pertinent to the <br /> Project will be recorded,including any deviations from the procedures. F.aclr <br /> page will <br /> be signed upon completion. An example of a Tield Technician°s Daily Report is located in <br /> Appendix B.. <br /> Collected samples will be accompanied by a chain-of-custody record. Each sample will have its <br /> own unique samvle identification number, sample location, date and time of collection, and <br /> appropriate preservative clearly labeled with a ent marker along`with,.a sample custody_ <br /> seal affixed around the sample bottle cap. The unique sample identification number consists of a <br /> unique five-digit number- <br /> The information described above including the unique sample identification number, along with <br /> the analyses to be performed, will be included on the Pyrge Characterization and-Sample Log. <br /> Chain=of-custody forms will include the following: - <br /> Date of Sample <br /> Project Number <br /> Project Name - <br /> T'une of Samplc <br /> Sample Number[e.g.624631 <br /> Analyses to be Performed <br /> Signature of Sampler ° <br /> A sample chain-of..custody form is in Appendix B_ Samples will remain in the custody of the <br /> field technician at all times during the sampling activities_ Samples will be stared,with the.chain <br /> of custody, in the iced coolers, .and packed in foam bottle forms or other material to reduce <br /> potential breakage.
