P_j <br />SECTION 02771 <br />GEOTEXTILES <br />1.1 WORK INCLUDED <br />A. This section covers the Work necessary to furnish and install nonwoven geotextiles <br />for separation of the Granular Drainage Material and the Protective Operations Layer, <br />to envelope the Coarse Gravel surrounding the leachate collection pipe and within the <br />sumps, to provide a cushion between the granular drainage material and HDPE <br />Geomembrane, and to protect the leading edge of the geomembrane. It is the <br />responsibility of the GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR to procure and deliver the <br />material to the site and to ensure that all submittals are adequate and approved. The <br />EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR shall unload and store the geotextile if the <br />GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR is not onsite and shall install the filter <br />geotextile. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall install the cushion <br />geotextile. <br />B. This Work includes furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, construction equipment, <br />and materials necessary to install the geotextiles described by these Specifications <br />and Construction Drawings. <br />1.2 REFERENCES <br />A.
