3. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR is responsible for off-loading, storage, and <br />transporting material from storage area to installation site. The EARTHWORK <br />CONTRACTOR shall unload the materials if the GEOSYNTHETICS <br />CONTRACTOR is not onsite. <br />4. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for damage to <br />HDPE geomembrane during delivery, even if the rolls are unloaded by the <br />EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR. The QA/QC CONSULTANT will <br />determine damage <br />1.8 WARRANTY (MANUFACTURER) <br />A. Provide manufacturer's warranty for geomembrane material in compliance with <br />provisions of the Conditions of the Contract. Provide a minimum 20 -year pro rata <br />warranty for the material against deterioration due to exposure to the elements, either <br />exposed or buried. The warranty for material must cover costs of material <br />replacement and installation; assuming the area is rendered in a clean, dry, <br />unencumbered condition. In the event the area cannot be rendered as such, <br />compensation for defective material will be provided to the OWNER on a pro rata <br />basis for the estimated cost to the OWNER at that time of supplying and installing <br />material to a clean, dry, and unencumbered condition by a third party installer. <br />B. Installation: Provide an installation warranty for geomembrane material in <br />compliance with the conditions of the Contract. Provide a minimum of 2 year non - <br />pro rata warranty for the installation against defects. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.1 GEOMEMBRANE LABELING <br />A. Provide the following information of geomembrane roll labels. <br />1. Length, width, and weight. <br />2. Name of manufacturer and fabricator. <br />3. Directions for unrolling. <br />4. Product identification; lot number, batch number, and roll number. <br />A. High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), new, first quality, compounded, and <br />manufactured specifically for producing HDPE geomembrane. <br />B. Do not mix resin types during manufacturing. <br />C. Meeting the following requirements unless otherwise approved: <br />Forward Landfill WMU FU -06 HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE <br />02778 6 (HDPE) GEOMEMBRANE <br />
