Northern Portion of WMU FU-06 August 2006 Forward Landfill Project No.021605.07 3.0 CONSTRUCTION QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM 3.1 Construction Components Vector provided CQA services on both earthworks and geosynthetic components during the construction of the northern portion of WMU FU-06. The elements monitored by Vector and discussed within this section include general fill (berm construction), grading, geotextile placement, HDPE geomembrane placement, LCRS granular drainage layer placement, HDPE pipe installation, and protective operations soil placement. 3.2 CQA Documentation CQA documentation was prepared by Vector as part of the prescribed CQA duties and consisted of a system of daily record keeping including daily progress reports and a record of various test data sheets pertinent to the soils and geosynthetic components of the liner system. Copies of the original records are maintained by Vector and can be made available upon request. Other CQA documentation with respect to test data and observation sheets are discussed within the following sections. Copies and summaries of various data for the soils and geosynthetics components monitored and physically tested by Vector are included in various appendices of this report. Documentation of the conformance tests for the geosynthetic components is also presented in the appendices. 3.3 Final Report Preparation of this final report documenting project CQA activities was the final task of the CQA program for the Forward Landfill, northern portion of WMU FU-06 construction project. This report includes discussions of the findings and observations of the on-site CQA personnel regarding the activities identified above. Photo documentation is included in Appendix A.
