Hand washing facilities are located <br /> in each portable toilet and an additional facility is located near the office trailer. <br /> 6.6.2 POTABLE WATER SUPPLY <br /> Bottled water is provided for drinking. Nonpotable water for site operations is <br /> supplied by two onsite production wells: a 1,500-gpm well near the landfill <br /> entrance facilities and a 500-gpm well near the transfer station building. The <br /> transfer station has a 12,000-gallon water tank and a pressurized water system. <br /> Water uses include site construction and waste disposal operations, transfer <br /> station operations, dust control, equipment maintenance operations, sanitary <br /> facilities, fire fighting, and emergency situations. <br /> 6.6.3 COMMUNICATIONS <br /> SBC provides telephone service to the site. The site offices and vehicles used for <br /> site operations are equipped with phones. The site has 7 telephone lines for <br /> business and emergency use. In addition, each employee is assigned a Motorola <br /> Handie-Talkie FM radio for emergency and work communication. <br /> 6.6.4 LIGHTING <br /> Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) provides the primary electric service to the site. <br /> Electric power is provided to the office trailers and onsite pumping facilities. <br /> There is night/security lighting at the landfill and transfer station entrances. <br /> The landfill has two portable trailer-mounted generators, in case of an emergency <br /> or night lighting. In addition, the landfill has portable lights for operations after <br /> dark (i.e., in the winter). <br /> 6.6.5 SAFETY EQUIPMENT <br /> Forward has a number of site and personal safety procedures in place.
