Any necessary <br /> repairs or replacements will be made during the quarterly inspection. <br /> 4.10 LANDFILL SETTLEMENT MONITORING AND MONUMENT MAINTENANCE <br /> 4.10.1 SURVEY RECORD <br /> Regulatory requirements dictate that, upon completion of closure construction <br /> activities, a survey record of the closed landfill be established and recorded with <br /> the title of the property, with the County Recorders office and copies be made <br /> available to the CIWMB, LEA and kept on-site at the administration offices. The <br /> survey of record will include the following information: <br /> • The date closure construction was completed; <br /> • Boundaries of the disposal area; <br /> • The location and telephone number of where the closure and post-closure <br /> plans can be obtained; and <br /> • A statement that the future site use is restricted in accordance with the post- <br /> closure maintenance plan. <br /> 4.10.2 SURVEY/SETTLEMENT MONUMENTS <br /> In accordance with 27 CCR, Section 20950 (d), survey/settlement monuments <br /> are to be established at the landfill so that facilities constructed during closure <br /> can be located and controls can be provided from which to monitor future <br /> landfill settlement. After completion of the final cover, settlement monuments <br /> will be set on the landfill in the disposal area as shown on Drawing 4 of the STD. <br /> These monuments will be used to monitor settlement within the closed landfill <br /> and will allow for a determination of the actual settlement that occurs over the <br /> post-closure maintenance period. <br /> Additionally, 27 CCR, Section 21090 (e)(2) requires operators to produce iso- <br /> settlement maps every five years throughout the post-closure maintenance <br /> period or until settlement has ceased. Prior to an aerial survey, the monuments <br /> will be surveyed for horizontal and vertical control so that an accurate disposal <br /> area topographic map can be developed.
