IN I CTOR
ENGINEERING INC.
DAILY CONSTRUCTIONFIELD REPORT
Project Name: Project No. Daily Field Report Sequence Number:
Forward Landfill 2008 021605.08 17
Location of Work: Client Or Manager Date: Day of The Week:
Manteca, CA Forward/AWI July 15,2008 Tuesday
General Contractor: Liner Contractor: Project Engineer:
Guinn Comanco Lewis Engineering
General Foreman: Liner Superintendent: Other:
L
Source and Description of Fill Material: Weather: CQA Technician:
On-Site light tan clayey soil Hot and breezy Evan Lindenbach
Equipment on site:
815 compactor,tractor with BeGe blade and disc,5 x 637 scrapers, 1 x 627 scraper,2 x water trucks,D-6 dozer,D-6 dozer
w/slo e-board, excavator,623 sora er, 16 G Moto ader,825 compactor
NOTES(Describe work completed during the day,any problems and their solutions):
- Guinn is using GPS and a grade checker to monitor the grade of placed material.
- Guinn is ripping and wetting the excavation area with a D-6,a tractor with discs,a Motograder, and a
water truck. CQA monitored moisture and composition of borrow material.
- Guinn placed low permeability soil from the borrow area, into the cell from north to south. The
material was placed at a minim of 6%above optimum as per the recommendations of CQA. The
material was placed i "loose lifts(6"compacted)as per the specifications. The material was
compacted with an 825 compactor.
- CQA discussed the permeability results from the test pad with Kevin and Larry from Guinn. CQA
recommends placing the material at a minimum of 20%moisture(with optimum being 14%)with a
minimum of 90%compaction(maximum density being 118 pcf). Laboratory testing of field
permeability samples indicates that this combination of density and moisture should pass the
permeability specifications for the project.
- CQA monitored moisture conditioning, placement, and compaction of the low permeability soil.
Prepared By: Reviewed By:
4/23/03,Rev.0 1 of 1
C-2
