Fourth Quarter 2008 Groundwater Treatment <br /> Facility Monitoring Report <br /> Forward Landfill WDR Order No. 5-2003-0080 <br /> 7.0 summary <br /> This Fourth Quarter 2008 Monitoring Report for the Forward Incorporated(Forward) <br /> Landfill Groundwater Treatment Facility (GTF)presents the monitoring results for influent <br /> and effluent.This report was prepared as stipulated by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(CV Water Board) Waste Discharge Requirements(WDR)Order <br /> No.R5-2003-0080,which was adopted on April 25,2003. <br /> After reviewing the information presented in this document,the following conclusions have <br /> been made: <br /> The GTF operated for 2,078 hours between October 1 and December 31,2008,at <br /> 94.1 percent uptime,and treated 18.497 million gallons of groundwater. During this <br /> period,the GTF removed approximately 1.9 pounds of volatile organic compounds <br /> (VOC)- <br /> • During fourth quarter 2008,all effluent samples collected in October,November,and <br /> December met WDR Order No. R5-2003-0080 for VOCs.No VOCs were detected. <br /> • GTF influent flow rate from extraction wells (EW) EW-1 and EW-2 has decreased and <br /> these wells will be rehabilitated during first quarter 2009 to increase well productivity. <br /> 2.0 Operational Summary <br /> The GTF operated for 2,078 hours between October 1 and December 31,2008,at 94.1 percent <br /> uptime,and treated 18.497 million gallons of groundwater at an average flow rate of <br /> 148 gallons per minute,or 0.214 million gallons per day.
