For the Austin Unit,no significant changes in the water quality analytical results were noted.
Luring the third quarter 20121 monitoring period, CLs were exceeded in detection monitoring
program (DMP)wells AMW-2-, AMWJ1,AMW-121, A-N-IW-13 and A-NI -14. With the
exception of the barium and chloride concentrations measured in well A M1W-14,none of the CL
exceedances exhibited statistically significant increasing trends. It should be noted, however,
that the barium and chloride concentrations measured in the sample collected from well A.'..vlW-
14 are vvithin the historical ranee of values oluserved at this well. For the corrective action
program (CAP) wells, trend analyses are performed instead of comparison to C: s. During the
current monitoring period, statistically significant increasing trends were noted for one or more
VOCs in CAP wells AMW-I and ANIW-10. while several decreasing VOC trends we-re noted in
CAP wells A2,VIW-1. AMW-4,AMW-5R, A-MW-10, and AMW-1 1. The increasing cis-1,2-
dichloroethene trend in wells AMW-1 and AMW-10. suggest that active reductive dechlorination
is occurring in the vicinity of these wells.
according to the Forward Landfill Operations Manager, standard observations have been
conducted weekly during the reporting quarter. The Forward Landfill Operations Manager also
reported that no surface water was discharged from the facility during the reporting period.
I certify'under penalty of law, that I have personally examined and am familiar with the
information submitted in this document mid all attachments, and that based on my inquiry of
hose individuals immediately responsible for obtaining this inforination. I believe that the
iiii'brination is true,accurate,
and complete, I am aware that there are significant penalties for
submitting false information, including the possibility of fine and imprisonment.
If you have any questions regarding this report, please call me at (209) 982-14-198,
Sincerely,
Erin Fanning
Environmental Manager
Attachment
-2-
