The total number of passing tests
recorded corresponds to a frequency of 1 test per 318 cy, which satisfies the specified
minimum required frequency of 1 test per 500 cy. Also, 11 subgrade/buttress fill soil samples
were collected at the nuclear test locations for microwave and oven moisture content
determination, to check the accuracy of the nuclear gauge. The specified frequency for this test
was 1 per 45,400 cy; the actual frequency was 1 test for every 5,000 cy. Summaries of the field
moisture -density tests can be found in Appendix C.
• Upon completion of the subgrade/buttress fill soil placement on the slopes, the Contractor
11 Geo -Logic
ASSOCIATES
