As shown in the table above, significant increasing trends were calculated for four VOC
constituents in CAP well AMW-1, while decreasing VOC trends were noted for one or
more VOC constituents 1n CAP wells AMW-1, AMW-10, and AMW-19BR. The
increasing trend exhibited for cis-1,2-DCE at well AMW-1 suggests reductive
dechlorination is occurring in the vicinity of this well.
Domestic Well Monitoring
The domestic wells (7898-A and 8106-A) were inadvertently not sampled during the
fourth quarter 2012 monitoring period.
Surface Water Monitoring
During the fourth quarter 2012 monitoring period, surface-water monitoring stations
ASW-1 and ASW-2 were sampled on December 19, 2012. Table 3-5 summarizes the
current analytical results of surface water samples collected at the Austin Unit. As shown
on Table 3-5, no CLs were exceeded and no VOCs were detected in the surface water
samples collected during the monitoring period.
Leachate Monitoring
According to the Operations Manager, no leachate was taken off site during the fourth
quarter 2012. The leachate collection system, which collects leachate from the north face
of the landfill, has been operational since November 1996. WQPS (concentration limits)
