Water Quality Monitoring Report
Forward Landfill
® 3.2 Summary
Groundwater quality conditions beneath the Austin Unit during the second quarter 2015
monitoring period were generally similar to historical results. During the current
monitoring period, although it is recognized that well AMW-6 is a CAP well mis-
identified as a DMP well, six inorganic CLs were exceeded and a non-statistical indication
of release was identified at well AMW-6. In addition, the CL for sodium was exceeded in
well AMW-7 and verification retesting is scheduled for July 2015. With the exception of
AMW-6, no other VOCs were detected in DMP wells. For the CAP/evaluation wells, 17
of 28 wells reported one or more VOCs exceeding a PQL, with CAP well AMW-1 having
the greatest number of VOCs (14), including 10 measured above a PQL. All surface
water stations and lysimeters were reported dry during the second quarter 2015
monitoring period. Under the existing CAP, the GTF pumped 11.0 million gallons of
groundwater removing an estimated 0.89 pounds of VOCs.
