CHAPTER TWO
EXISTING LANDFILL SITE OPERATIONS
The total daily tonnage being processed at the Harney Lane
Site approximates 230 tons .
Figure I depicts the daily refuse production of 1966 for
the City of Lodi to be 54 tons and the projected tonnage of 105
tons for 1980 . For the Lodi planning area, the 1966 value was
75 tons per day with a 1980 projection of 123 tons per day.
Figure I, additionally, depicts the totally unpredictable
huge increase of volume at the site . This tremendous increase in
volume was due in part to the ban on backyard burning of garden
refuse and other combustible materials . (Lodi Planning Area Figure I as used by
Stone Report)
The ratio of projected tonnage for the Lodi planning area to
■ 7
