Existing Landfill Site Operations (cont 'd)
the total present estimated tonnage is as follows :
100 43% Lodi planning area
230
57% County
The above extrapolations of refuse tonnage appears to be
reasonable in accordance with the following population statistics.
Assume 5# per capita per day
Lodi population 1972 - 29,949
29,949 x 5. 0# a 75 tons per day
2000
Lodi planning area
1972 population - 39,832
39, 832 x 5 . 0# 100 tons per day
2000
Although the large refuse volumes presently handled at the
Harney Lane Site are in the magnitude of 230 tons per day, a new
site near the City of Stockton would certainly have an immediate,
profound diminishing effect on the volumes of Harney Lane .
The master refuse disposal plan as developed by Ralph Stone
contains a disposal site for the north area to serve area 1 as
shown on Figure III.
A site in the central service area will also be required as
shown on Figure III .
Based on the assumption that the City of Lodi and the Lodi
planning area (Figure II ) are presently served by the Harney Lane
site, the sum of 75 tons and 100 tons or 175 tons would be the
present loading for the Lodi area.
To further check the origin of solid waste presently going
to the Harney Lane Site , a field survey was instituted from
November 141, 1972 to November 21, 1972.
