Includes 529 of private vehicle waste and 699 of commercial vehicle waste only (based on <br />Table 8-2 of 1979 SWMP) from Table 1. <br />ALTERNATIVES TO HARNEY LANE LANDFILL REPLACEMENT SITE <br />In the EIR, the alternatives to the proposed project were <br />essentially the north county alternatives presented in <br />Chapter 8 of the 1979 SWMP. However, several recent events <br />since adoption of the 1979 SWMP have affected these <br />alternatives: <br />• The recent construction of the California Waste <br />Removal Systems transfer station in Lodi. This <br />facility is used by the Lodi City franchisee and is <br />open to the public. The Lodi City franchisee <br />currently hauls all its waste to the existing Harney <br />Lane Landfill in transfer vehicles and is likely to <br />continue this practice to the proposed Harney Lane <br />Landfill replacement site or any other alternative <br />landfill. <br />R <br />
