6. Septic Tank Pumpings:
Septic tank pumpings from the unincorporated
area are accepted by the water treatment plants in
the area. The County Landfills do not accept septic
tank pumpings.
7. sewage sludge:
The County unincorporated area generates no
significant sewage sludge since most of the
residents of the unincorporated area are either
served by city sewage systems or use septic
systems.
IV. Evaluation of Alternatives:
Based on the above discussion, special wastes currently
do not pose a serious hazard for the County. Special wastes
appear to be adequately handled and there is no need to
evaluate alternatives to the current system.
V. Selection of Diversion Program for Special Wastes:
The objectives outlined at the beginning of this
component are being met with current diversion programs for
special waste. It is not necessary to further expand the
current program at this time.
VI. Program Implementation:
Since no additional programs are required at this time,
it is not necessary to discuss program implementation.
11 Chapter 6 - Special Wastes 13
11
