9. Land Use: <br /> The County will examine its land use planning <br /> policies to determine policies that would encourage <br /> source reduction practices. <br /> 10. Bans: <br /> The County is not considering local bans on <br /> specific products because the County as a whole is too <br /> small to have a significant impact on state and <br /> national manufacturers. The County will consider <br /> supporting State and Federal legislation aimed at <br /> reducing manufacturing and marketing waste. Examples <br /> of such legislation include advance disposal fees, <br /> packaging reduction, and specified content <br /> legislation. <br /> 11. Other: <br /> The County will continue to review source <br /> reduction strategies and implement new strategies as <br /> they become feasible. Nothing in this plan is <br /> intended to restrict implementation of other <br /> strategies developed in the future, or to preclude <br /> counting the diversion achieved by those strategies <br /> toward waste reduction goals. <br /> Chapter 3 - Source Reduction 29 <br />
