The Engineer shall approve the depth measurement procedures used by the <br />Contractor. The Engineer may verify measurements as he deems appropriate. <br />010 &IF): ufif <br />A. The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer any proposed alternates in <br />accordance with Section 01300. <br />1.04 PERMIT COMPLIANCE <br />A. Contractor shall obtain a Drilling permit from the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department (EHD). The Contractor shall: <br />1. Submit an application for drilling permit to the Environmental <br />Health Department (EHD), 304 E. Weber Avenue. <br />2. Receive an approved permit from EHD Unit 6, as indicated by the <br />signature of an Environmental Health Unit 6 staff member on the <br />permit. <br />3. Provide a copy of the approved permit to the Engineer prior to <br />drilling. <br />4. Schedule inspection of the well construction with EBD Unit 6 <br />supervisor or lead senior inspector after receiving an approved <br />permit, and at least 48 hour before the need for inspection. Placing <br />of any material in the well bore after drilling requires inspection <br />unless otherwise indicated by EHD staff. Contractor shall receive <br />such indicication in writing. <br />5. Call 209-468-3422 to schedule inspection. Note the name of the <br />person contacted. <br />6. Provide the name of the person in EHD Unit 6 contacted by the <br />driller to schedule inspection to the Engineer in writing. <br />7.
