B. <br />Prior to starting work, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for approval, six sets <br />of shop drawings of motor controls, panel boards, control panels and all other electrical <br />equipment. <br />1.03 UL <br />COMPLIANCE <br />A. <br />Materials manufactured within scope of Underwriters Laboratories, including the <br />control panel, shall conform to UL Standards and have an applied UL listing mark. <br />1.04 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />A. <br />The Contractor shall provide complete electrical wiring and installation as identified <br />herein, and as needed for a complete installation. As such, this section provides <br />minimal criteria for the purchase and installation of electrical components, and the <br />installation practices to be utilized by the Contractor. It is not the intent of this section to <br />dictate to the Contractor, the use of any specific brand name electrical component as a <br />part of the complete installation. <br />B. <br />Electrical work and equipment shall be constructed in accordance with the National <br />Electrical Code for the area classifications given herein. <br />C. <br />The Contractor shall provide labor and materials as required to complete the work of <br />this Section in accordance with the requirements of governmental agencies having <br />jurisdiction, and all pertinent codes and regulations. <br />D. <br />Motor -starter, lighting and all work shall be accomplished in accordance with all <br />applicable City, County, and local codes, and the National Electrical Code and its latest <br />revisions and with all pertinent requirements and standard specifications of the local <br />power company. <br />E. <br />Control panel assemblies shall be wired and tested in accordance with UL or another <br />inspection agency recognized by the State of California. All panel assemblies shall be <br />provided with a UL stamp of approval plainly visible for inspection. <br />F. <br />Electrical equipment (motors, valves, instruments, thermocouples) shall be wired <br />complete and in accordance with the manufacturer's wiring diagrams and instructions. <br />G. <br />The area as shown on the drawings shall be classified as hazardous Class 1, Division <br />2, Group D. All areas below grade are classified as Class 1, Division 2, Group D. <br />H. <br />Electrical enclosures which house arcing components are to be installed outside the <br />Class 1, Division 2, Group D areas. Components which enclose arcing components <br />installed within the Class 1, Division 2, Group D areas must be rated for these areas. <br />I. <br />Contractor shall provide and install all conduits, cable and connections between flare <br />panels, and electrical components mounted on the same flare skid assembly. <br />North County LFG <br />Collection System 2 FLARE STATION ELECTRICAL <br />San Joaquin County Public Works Section 16005 <br />
