Install materials and equipment in hazardous areas in a manner acceptable to <br />regulatory authority having jurisdiction for the class, division, and group of hazardous <br />area indicated. <br />C. Ground equipment, enclosures, and complete conduit system securely in accordance <br />with applicable sections of NFPA 70. <br />3.02 MOTOR STARTER <br />A. Field adjust trip settings of motor starter magnetic, trip -only circuit breakers in <br />accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br />B. Existing Connection: Reconnect control wiring to new magnetic starters to perform <br />same functions as existing connections. <br />3.03 CONDUIT AND FITTINGS <br />A. General: <br />1. Do not install crushed or deformed raceways. <br />2. Avoid trapped raceways in damp and wet locations. <br />3. Prevent plaster, dirt, or trash from lodging in raceways, boxes, fittings, and <br />equipment during the course of construction. Clear clogged raceways of <br />obstructions. <br />4. Maintain conduit runs within furring lines of building, unless otherwise shown. <br />5. Secure conduits entering cabinets, pull boxes or outlet boxes with galvanized <br />locknuts and bushings, on both sides of box wall. <br />B. Applications: <br />1. Exposed Exterior: Type RGS. <br />C. Final Connection to Motors: <br />1. Conduit Size 4 Inches or Less: 18 -inch minimum, 60 -inch maximum length of <br />flexible metal conduit. <br />D. Exposed Raceways: Install parallel or perpendicular to structural members, or <br />intersections of vertical planes. <br />E.
