The Contractor shall submit proposed alternates to the Engineer in <br />accordance with Section 01300, "Submittals". <br />B. The Contractor shall submit nameplate schedules showing the location of <br />the nameplates and nameplate inscriptions. <br />C. The Contractor shall submit drawings with wire numbering schedules. <br />A. The Engineer shall have the authority to reject any electrical equipment for <br />non -conformity to any of the provisions of these specifications. <br />1.05 CLASSIFICATION OF ELECTRICAL AREAS <br />A. The area within 5 feet of the blowers and 10 feet of the propane bottles <br />shall be classified as hazardous Class I, Division H, Group D. <br />B. Below grade shall be classified as Class I, Division H, Group D. <br />FMXi7= <br />A. The Contractor shall provide only new and first class materials of the type <br />and quality specified or materials bearing the Underwriters' Laboratories, <br />Inc. label. <br />2.02 CONDUCTORS <br />A. Conductors shall be soft -drawn, annealed copper having conductivity of <br />not less than 98 percent of that of pure copper, uniform in cross-section, <br />free from flaws, scale and the imperfections. <br />B. Interior branch wiring shall be Type XHHW or THWN 600 volt, and a <br />minimum of AWG 12 -gauge except for control wiring which shall be <br />stranded and a minimum of AWG 14 -gauge. Internal wiring within <br />control panel may be minimum of AWG 16 -gauge, Type MTW. <br />C. Wire shall be stranded.
