Materials used in concrete shall conform to Section 90 of the Standard <br />Specifications. <br />A. Concrete curing compound shall be used and shall meet Federal Specifica- <br />tion TT -C-800, Type I, Class 1 non yellowing with minimum 18 percent <br />solids and a maximum unit moisture loss of 0.039 gm/cm2. Manufacturer <br />shall be Gifford -Hill "Sealco 800," ProSoCo "Kure and Seal," Protex <br />"Acrychlor," Sonneborn "Kure -N -Seal' or approved equal. <br />B. Alternatively, the Contractor may use a 6 mil. polyethylene film for <br />protection during curing and cure with water method. Water method <br />includes covering concrete with plastic film and applying water under the <br />plastic daily for two weeks. <br />2.04 STRENGTH AND SLUMP <br />A. The minimum concrete compressive strength shall be 2500 psi unless <br />otherwise specified. The slump shall not exceed 4 inches at the time it is <br />being placed in conformance with ASTM C 150. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 PREPARATION <br />A. The Contractor shall install forms that produce hardened concrete having <br />the shape, lines, and dimensions indicated on the Drawings. Forms shall <br />be strong and sufficiently tight to prevent Ieakage and shall be maintained <br />in proper position and accurate alignment.
