This section covers all items fabricated from metal shapes, plates, sheets, <br />rods, bars, or castings and all other wrought or cast metal except component <br />parts of equipment and items covered by other sections or items supplied by <br />County. <br />B. Fabricated metal items which are indicated on the drawings but not <br />mentioned specifically herein shall be fabricated in accordance with the <br />applicable requirements of this section. <br />1.02 REFERENCES <br />A. Except as otherwise specified or indicated on the drawings, all materials <br />and work shall conform to the applicable provisions of the most recent <br />edition of the AISC "Steel Construction Manual" and AISC "Specification <br />for the Design, Fabrication and Erection of Structural Steel for Buildings," <br />and the Standard Specifications. <br />A. The Contractor shall submit: <br />1. Detailed shop drawings for items covered by this section. The <br />detailed shop drawings shall identify all welds, coatings, shapes, <br />etc. <br />2. Members and parts, as delivered and erected, shall be free of winds, warps, <br />local deformations, and unauthorized bends. Holes and other pro -visions for <br />field connections shall be accurately located and shop checked so that proper <br />fit will result when the units are assembled in the field. <br />B. Structural and miscellaneous metal work shall be stored on blocking so that <br />no metal touches the ground and water cannot collect thereon.
