The Contractor shall furnish labor, equipment and incidentals necessary to <br />paint the items indicated in the drawings. The Contractor shall use <br />adequate numbers of skilled workmen who are thoroughly trained and <br />experienced in the necessary crafts and who are completely familiar with <br />the specified requirements and the methods needed for proper performance <br />of the work of this section. <br />B. Work requiring paint includes fabricated equipment, flare, miscellaneous <br />metals, white or clear PVC pipe, and flex hoses exposed to the sun. <br />1.02 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. This section covers field painting, including surface preparation, <br />protection of surfaces, and other appurtenant work. <br />1.03 ITEMS NOT TO BE PAINTED <br />A. Metal surfaces of anodized aluminum, stainless steel, chromium plate, <br />copper, bronze, galvanized steel (except pre -fabricated bolding) and other <br />materials not subject to corrosion will not require painting under this section <br />except when specified otherwise. <br />B. Do not paint moving parts of operating unit, mechanical or electrical parts <br />such as valve operators, linkages, sensing devices, and motor shafts. <br />C. Labels, equipment identification tags, model numbers, manufacturer's <br />identification marks, name plates, or nomenclature plates shall be properly <br />protected during painting and shall not be painted over. <br />X11=0111:j11 o f EM1511l,7INUS)0 <br />A. Finish paint shall be compatible with the primer. <br />B.
