n <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />�A <br />SINGLE -PROBE LANDFILL GAS MIGRATION MONITORING WELL <br />AND RELATED ITEMS <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />Providing soil gas wells accepted by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as <br />suitable for landfill gas monitoring is of the essence in this contract. <br />"The Engineer" means Solid Waste Division staff, or their designated representative. <br />1.02 INSPECTION <br />Work performed without inspection when inspection is required will be rejected and the <br />Contractor shall repeat the work with proper inspection. <br />The Contractor shall remove work found not to be acceptable or which was installed without <br />inspection when inspection was required at his cost and with no additional time allowed for this <br />work. <br />1.03 WORK HOURS <br />Contractor's personnel may be on site only as identified herein. <br />Contractor personnel may be on site and performing work on working days from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 <br />p.m. <br />Contractor personnel may be on site for equipment maintenance on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to <br />5:00 p.m. Equipment may not be used and no work may be performed during this time. <br />1.04 USE OF SITE <br />A. General <br />The landfill will be in full operation when the work is in progress. The Contractor shall not inhibit <br />or obstruct the flow of traffic or landfill operations. <br />Contractor's foreman shall sign in at the gate and shall give a list of workers on site that day. <br />The Contractor shall provide drinking water, sanitary facilities, and hand -washing facilities for all <br />Contractors' workers.
