g) Hydrology: <br />1) The water bearing characteristics of the rock and soils underlying <br />the site are described in Section 2 of the SWAT Report for the site. <br />2) Information on in-place permeability of the soils immediately <br />underlying the waste management unit is contained in Section 2.5 of <br />the SWAT report for the site. <br />3) Direction of the groundwater flow within one mile of the site are <br />presented in the SWAT report for the site. <br />4) The estimated capillary fringe height above the uppermost <br />groundwater zone is estimated to be less than 5 feet. This estimate <br />is based on Lohman (1972)x1, which defines general capillary rise in <br />unconsolidated soil indicating a maximum rise of 5 feet. <br />5) No springs have been identified on site, or within one mile of the <br />landfill site. <br />15 <br />
