6) A truck wash and service area is located adjacent and south of the <br /> shop/office building. The 45 foot x 25 foot pad will accommodate one truck <br /> at a time. Fuel pumps will be located on a concrete pad adjacent and south <br /> of the pad. <br /> All buildings will be of steel construction with exteriors consisting of metal siding. <br /> Foundations will be concrete slab-on-grade. All floors will be concrete. All paved areas <br /> will be asphalt or concrete. All unpaved areas will be covered with gravel, with the <br /> exception of landscape planters. The applicant has proposed an 8 foot masonry wall with <br /> dense evergreen landscape screening along the Larch Road frontage. Other property <br /> boundary lines will be fenced with chain link with redwood slats 6 feet in height and <br /> landscaped. <br /> Access to the site will be from Larch Road via Holly Drive. Three driveways from Larch <br /> Road are proposed. Each will serve a function of the operation as follows: <br /> general access by disposal company vehicles and public vehicle access, <br /> transfer station entrance for incoming commercial and disposal company <br /> trucks, and <br /> egress by outgoing solid waste transfer trucks <br /> The calendar of activities during each day is as follows: <br /> 4:00 AM All 10 (4 residential, 4 industrial, and 2 commercial) trucks leave the <br /> station to begin their routes. Personnel on-site at this time will include <br /> 2 people per residential truck, 1 person per commercial and industrial <br /> truck, 1 transport truck driver, 1 foreman/dispatcher, and 1 operation <br /> supervisor. <br /> 5:00 AM Industrial trucks begin unloading from early routes and continue <br /> throughout the day. <br /> 6:00 AM Transfer station opens to the general public. <br /> 7:00 AM Commercial, and residential trucks begin unloading from early routes <br /> and continue throughout the day. <br /> 8:00 AM First transfer truck leaves for the landfill and continue throughout the <br /> day. Two secretaries arrive. <br /> 3:30 PM Residential and commercial trucks deliver final loads. Transfer truck <br /> leaves with last load for the landfill <br /> 4:00 PM Industrial trucks deliver final loads. Transfer station closes to the <br /> public. Station clean up begins. <br /> 15 <br />
