As the amount of waste entering the station increases, the number of trucks
required will increase as stated previously. It is anticipated that the initial operation
will handle approximately 150 tons per day of refuse. This will increase to about
300 tons per day when the Corral Hollow Landfill closes in 1993. Ultimately by the
year 2005 the station will process up to its design capacity of 500 tons per day, if
a 5% growth rate is assumed. If a 9.3%/yr. growth rate is assumed in accordance
with the "forecast of the demand for land uses in Tracy, 1987 to 2010" by Gruen,
Gruen and Associates (January 1988), the station will process up to its design
capacity of 500 TPD by the year 1998.
16
