Direct all public and media inquiries concerning and emergency <br /> to the County Public Information Officer. <br /> Evacuation/Reassembly Steps: <br /> In case of an emergency, the site foreman or first observing <br /> personnel shall perform the following: <br /> 1. Assist in the movement of people to safe zones, alone <br /> established routes, after evacuation order has been given. <br /> 2 . Account., for all parties who have not reassembled at <br /> predetermined safe location. <br /> 3 . Instruct individuals when to leave assembly location and where <br /> they should go. <br /> Restoration Steps: <br /> Following an emergency, the site foreman shall report to the <br /> engineer who will perform the following.L. <br /> Arrange for any necessary repair of final cover or monitoring <br /> equipment. The site shall be restored to bring the site back <br /> into compliance with the closure regulations. <br /> The following are responses to specific emergencies as required in <br /> the closure regulations: <br /> 1. Vandalism <br /> The entire landfill site will be enclosed with a barbed wire fence <br /> and the access point on Corral Hollow Road will be guarded by a <br /> chain link gate to discourage any unauthorized entry. An engineer <br /> will inspect the site quarterly for signs of vandalism. If damage <br /> has occurred, the County will take steps to restore the site to its <br /> original condition. <br /> 2. Fires <br /> All landfill structures will be removed upon closure of the site <br /> which will eliminate the possibility of a building fire. If a fire <br /> occurs onsite, the nearest fire department will be called to the <br /> scene. Phone numbers for the Fire District and the County will be <br /> posted at the landfill access point on Corral Hollow Road, so the <br /> public has an emergency contact if a fire is observed. <br />
