R. Cock Valve shall be %" diameter provided with hose barb X male pipe thread fittings, <br />comprised of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and shall be Harrington Industrial Plastics, <br />Hayward Industrial Products, part number LC12, or equivalent. <br />S. Saddles to attach to HDPE LFG headers shall be full face <br />T. Valve boxes shall be Christy Fiberlite FL36T or equivalent. Valve box extensions <br />shall be used to maintain required clearance. Valve box lid shall be labeled with the <br />well number with yellow oil-based paint. The label lettering shall be four inches high. <br />U. Geonet will be provided by the County in rolls. The Contractor shall cut Geonet in <br />required sizes as needed. <br />V. All screws shall be stainless steel indented Hex Washer Head slotted type. The <br />screws on the 3" Sch 80 coupling shall be 7/8" in length. The screws on the <br />expansion joint shall be 3/8" in length. <br />W. The well skirt shall be Landtec WBS -100-4 or equivalent. The Contractor may <br />choose to order well skirts from Real Environmental Products. <br />X. Backfill soil for trenches or horizontal collectors is available on-site at all sites. <br />Contractor shall excavate backfill soil on-site as directed by the Engineer. , <br />Y. Soil backfill in trenches shall be moistened and compacted firm and unyielding using <br />jumping jack or equivalent. <br />II. Submittals <br />A. Contractor shall submit information on the following items prior to use on the site. <br />Engineer will retain two copies of each submittal. Use of proposed items will be <br />conditional on approval of the submittals. <br />1. LFG well drain rock <br />2. Bentonite used for well sealing <br />3. Gate valves. <br />4. GCL if provided by the Contractor <br />5. Proposed substitutions or alternative work items prior to use on the site <br />B. The County will review submittals without deliberate delay upon receiving the <br />submittals. The County will be the sole judge of the sufficiency of the information. <br />C. Review of submittals by the County does not relieve the contractor of responsibility to <br />follow the contract specifications, nor does it relieve the contractor from responsibility <br />for errors or omissions in the submittal. Allowed deviations from the contract <br />specifications, if any, will be specifically and explicitly identified in writing by the <br />County. <br />D.
