L <br />r_ <br />C <br />r <br />r <br />B. Earthwork shall conform to lines and grades indicated on the Construction <br />Drawings and as specified in this section. <br />C. Excavated materials, which conform to Specifications, may be used as earthfill. <br />Excavated materials may be stockpiled for later use. <br />D. Contractor shall construct and maintain temporary drainage ditches to provide <br />drainage during construction. <br />E. Contractor shall be responsible for providing siltation control and management <br />during construction. <br />F. Contractor shall not damage existing components of the landfill including <br />geotextiles, barrier layers, vegetative layer, PVC pipe, and LFG pipe. Damage <br />caused by the Contractor shall be repaired at the Contractor's expense consistent <br />with the applicable specification requirements. <br />3.04 CLEARING, GRUBBING, AND STRIPING <br />A. Clear shrubs, trees and other vegetation including grasses and weeds to natural <br />ground surface as needed within borrow and earthfill.areas. <br />B. Designated trees to be removed shall be marked by the Engineer and shall be <br />chipped. The chipped material shall be placed in a designated area on site as <br />directed by the Engineer. <br />C. Strip topsoil and other soils containing grasses, roots, and easily composted organics <br />to a minimum depth of 6 inches within borrow and earthfill areas and stockpile for <br />later incorporation and use in vegetative soil layers. <br />3.05 DISPOSAL OF CLEARED, GRUBBED, AND STRIPPED MATERIAL <br />IA. Cleared and Grubbed Materials: Place the cleared and grubbed material in the <br />borrow\stockpile area as directed by the Engineer. <br />B. Stripped Materials: Dispose of strippings in a strippings stockpile in the <br />borrow\stockpile area location identified by the Engineer. Include all soils from the <br />striping operations containing grasses, roots, and non -woody organics. <br />C. Place aggregate base of existing perimeter road near equipment staging area. <br />3.06 EXCAVATION <br />A.
