All such repairs shall <br />be considered as maintenance costs prior to County/Engineer's acceptance and <br />shall not be considered extra work for payment purposes. <br />4. Tolerances: Ditch excavation shall be within ± 0.1 foot of the design grades. <br />C. Anchor Trenching: <br />Excavate to the dimensions shown on the Construction Drawings. <br />2. Where it becomes necessary to excavate beyond the limits of normal <br />excavation lines to remove boulders or other interfering objects, backfill the <br />voids remaining after removal of the objects in the presence of the Engineer. <br />3. Remove boulders and other interfering objects, and backfill voids left by such <br />removals, at no additional cost to the County. <br />4. Round the inside edge of anchor trenches to receive geomembrane cover to a <br />minimum 6 -inch radius. <br />DISPOSAL OF EXCAVATED MATERIALS <br />A. Excavated Materials: <br />1. Materials excavated from the site shall be used as earthfill for construction of <br />various features including site grading, or stockpiled at locations designated by <br />the Engineer. <br />2. If required by the Contractor's schedule or work activities, the material may be <br />placed temporarily in stockpiles at approved locations. Material in stockpiles <br />shall be protected from contamination of any kind that would render it <br />unsuitable for use in fills. <br />3. Where used as the subgrade soil, such material may be stockpiled in a location <br />designated by the Engineer for subsequent. The Contractor shall take <br />precautions to prevent contamination of stockpile material that could change <br />material properties from those specified in Article 2.07. <br />4. The Contractor shall ensure that turbid water from the stockpile areas does not <br />enter nearby waterways during construction, until the project is accepted. <br />Provide siltation control and management measures. <br />5.
