CIS' <br />r <br />r <br />6. D3350 , Standard Specification for PE Plastics Pipe and Fittings Materials <br />1.05 DEFINITIONS <br />A. Refer to Section 01075 —Technical Specification Definitions. <br />1.06 SUBMITTALS <br />A. The Contractor shall submit the Manufacturer's specifications, and Manufacturer's <br />laboratory certification to the Engineer for review in accordance with Section 01300 <br />— Submittals. The submittal shall include one,(1) sample of each type of piping, <br />with proposed perforations where applicable. The submittal shall document the pipe <br />and fittings meet or exceed the requirements presented in this Section and as shown <br />on the Construction Drawings. The Contractor shall obtain the Engineer's <br />acceptance of applicable submittals before pipe shipment. <br />B. The Contractor shall submit, prior to installation of the pipe, a welding certification <br />certificate for each individual intended to be used for pipe welding demonstrating <br />that they meet the requirements of Article 1.05 Paragraph A. <br />1.07 QUALIFICATIONS <br />A. The pipe welding technician shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience welding <br />HDPE pipe utilizing the equipment and/or procedure proposed for use by the <br />Installer or Manufacturer. <br />1.08 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Exercise care during loading, transit, and unloading to prevent damage by abrasion <br />or puncturing, or both. <br />B. Store HDPE pipe with support to prevent developing a permanent set. <br />C. Stack the heaviest series of HDPE pipe on the bottom. <br />D. Stack HDPE pipe no more than eight layers high or consistent with the <br />Manufacturer's recommendations. <br />E. HDPE Pipe damaged during transportation, loading, unloading, delivery, storage, or <br />during construction shall be documented by the CQA Monitor and the Contractor. <br />F.
