IMF
IPW
Mr.McClellon
March 21,2008
2. Landfill gas monitoring=probe: Probe#1 used as one of the compliance probes had been noted to have its
screen depth in water. This was discovered during a trial of a video bore instrument sometime in 2006. At that
time, probe#1 was considered non-functional. This meant that the site was not in compliance with the minimum
of 1,000 feet monitoring probe spacing and hence another monitoring probe had to be installed to maintain the
minimum spacing.
3. Drainage Control: Abundant vegetation had grown in the perimeter drainage where the half-pipe corrugated
metal drainage was located. It was also unclear where this drainage would drain the runoff into. Also, drainage
on the southeast property boundary where grading had taken place did not appear to function as intended. The
Operator should provide adequate drainage of runoff for the entire site.
a
M "P
fit..
Drainage looking southwest
4. Waste was observed in the newly graded areas on the southeastern property boundary. It was not immediately
known whether this waste was surface debris or exposed waste. If surface debris, it should be collected and
taken to an approved solid waste facility; however, if it is exposed waste, then measures should be taken to
adequately cover this waste.
i
Waste(exposed or surface)observed within the newly graded area
Thank you for the opportunity to visit this site.
