M
Ficrure "All is a 1:24,000 scale USGS topographic ma*
which shows the site and the area within 1/4 mi
of the site boundary. French Camp landfill
bounded by French Camp Slough to the south a
west; Walker Slough to the north and 1-5 freeway•
the east.
There are agricultural, residential and commercial
wells located immediately adjacent to this area and
a water well for construction activity on the
landfill site. Bottled drinking water is provided
for the employees at the scale house.
A permanent weigh scale house and asphalt paved
access road, see Figure 11B11 are the only
improvements situated within the 72 acre site.
Impervious area is estimated at less than I
percent.
Since the deposited "green waste,' is covered with
soil material at the end of each week, there should
be a minimal amount of pollutants discharged from
the landfill into either French Camp or Walker
Slough.
During rainy periods, a special wet weather area
has been designated for disposal activities.
Previously stockpiled soil cover material is used
to cover this area.
Any fuel spill occurring at the landfill is handled
through the County Environmental Health Division.
The spill is removed by a licensed hazardous waste
contractor in strict compliance with the Health
Department's regulation.
The landfill is inspected daily for violations.
During the storm runoff periods visual inspections
as well as sample collection will be performed.
Collected samples will be analyzed at the City's
laboratory or by contracted laboratory services.
An annual report will be submitted to the Regional
Board by July of each year.
