This project is scheduled to end in December, 1994.
In the future, we plan to grind most of the green waste received at French Camp Landfill and
either haul it to Austin Road Landfill for use as ADC or use it as ADC at French Camp.
We have two questions concerning a possible green waste ADC demonstration project at
French Camp Landfill:
1. Would the California Integrated Waste Management Board approve an ADC
demonstration project at French Camp Landfill in which incoming green waste
was shredded and used to cover unshredded, compacted green waste ?
2. Could we receive credit toward meeting the 1995 disposal reduction goal for
the green waste we use as ADC ? If so, how much shredded green waste could
we use as ADC and get disposal reduction credit for ?
T;7
TEP
SCHEN
DEPUTY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, SOLID WASTE
SC/MVI
cc: James B.
