Kleinfelder performed compaction testing, in-place <br /> density, and moisture content tests. Kleinfelder confirmed that <br /> the erosion damaged areas were reconstructed in accordance with <br /> the CQA Plan. <br /> In addition to the sideslopes, some of the areas around the drain <br /> inlets on the Primary and Secondary Sites were eroded during the <br /> rainy season. The County installed new drain inlets and repaired <br /> all eroded areas. The new drain inlets consist of a four foot <br /> diameter concrete pipe set into a concrete pad. The concrete <br /> pipe is connected to the metal downdrain with a grout seal . The <br /> top of the concrete pipe is covered with a rebar grate. The clay <br /> barrier layer was restored around each drain inlet. The clay was <br /> compacted with a rented hand compactor, and Kleinfelder verified <br /> the compaction method by performing two tests near one of the <br /> inlets .
