KLEBNFELDER <br /> 3.2.3 Engineer of Record <br /> During the construction and any required redesign, the Engineer of Record will verify that <br /> construction conforms with the design plans and specifications and that all design changes have <br /> been properly evaluated, documented and approved by the regulatory authorities. The <br /> Engineer of Record must be a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California. <br /> Mr.Gabriel Karam P.E. will be the Engineer of Record for the project. <br /> 3.2.4 Survey Team <br /> The Survey Team performs all survey work on the site to measure and document the <br /> following: <br /> • Configuration of landfill prior to placing cap <br /> • Configuration of upper surface of foundation layer <br /> • Confirms that foundation layer is a minimum of 2-feet thick <br /> • Confirms grade slope of upper surface of foundation <br /> • Confirms that the low permeability layer is a minimum of 1-foot thick <br /> • Confirms grade slope of upper surface of low permeability layer <br /> Aft <br /> Confirms that the vegetation layer is a minimum of 1-foot thick <br /> The survey team for the project will be the Surveyor's Division of SJDPW or the solid waste <br /> division survey crew under direct supervision of the Project Engineer. Should County forces <br /> be unavailable to meet the project schedule, the SJDPW may hire a qualified land surveyor <br /> contractor to perform surveys. The contractors' survey crew will be under direct supervision <br /> of a registered surveyor (California Registration) in the firm and will work under direction of <br /> the Project Engineer. <br /> 3.2.5 Construction Monitor, Support Engineers <br /> The Construction Monitor, Support Engineers will assist the CQA Officer in performing <br /> internal quality assurance of project design and documents. These engineers are <br /> Mr. Ron Heinen, G.E. and Mr. Timothy Crandall P.E.. These engineers assisted with <br /> compilation of this CQA Plan and will review CQA results and documents for accuracy and <br /> conformance with the goals of the project. <br /> GSM.md 3EI94 Page 10 of 24 <br /> Copyright 1994 Klen felder, Inc. <br />
